The Sixth Congress of Maronite Bishops of Eparchies Outside the Patriarchal Territory and General Superiors of Maronite Religious Orders held this year in Sydney concluded today.
With the theme, “Called by Christ and Sent Forth to Evangelise: Go Make Disciples,” and led by our Patriarch, Mar Bechara Boutros Cardinal Rai, the Congress was an opportunity to delve deep into the essential mission of spreading the message of Christ and nurturing discipleship within our community on a local and global level.
As part of the Congress, participants heard a wide range of presentations and discussions on various topics vital to our faith and mission.

Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay said, “I am grateful to all the speakers, my brother Bishops, who are here from Brazil, Buenos Aires, Canada, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, South Africa and Columbia, and General Superiors. Their insights, dedication, and commitment to our faith and traditions are truly inspiring.
“I would like to thank all who participated or played any part in the Congress and the presenters from the general session held today; Maronites on Mission, Maronite Foundation in the World, Maronite Youth Diocesan Council and UniMaronite.
“We look forward to releasing the concluding statement in the coming week and subsequently, implementing the ideas and strategies discussed during this Congress in our respective communities, as we continue to “Go Make Disciples” in the name of Christ.”
