On 22 June 2024, a procession of the Blessed Sacrament took place from St Charbel’s hermitage to the monastery of St Maroun in Annaya in Lebanon, to commemorate the healing of Mrs Nouhad El Shami, through the intercession of St Charbel.

The pilgrimage saw thousands of faithful unite in prayer for peace in Lebanon and the world, for the healing of the sick, and for the souls of the deceased.

Following the procession, Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay celebrated Mass, along with Abbot Fadi Bou Chebel, the Exarch of Columbia, and Abbot Tannous Nehme, the Superior of St Maroun’s Monastery, Annaya.

Let us pray with our Bishop that, through the powerful intercession of St Charbel, the people of Lebanon and all the world may find the healing, unity, and peace that only Christ can provide.
