On Saturday 1 April, His Excellency Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay ordained Subdeacons Sayed Issac and Ghassan Nakhoul to the Diaconate at Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral, Sydney.
This was a momentous occasion for Deacons Sayed and Ghassan and for the Maronite community, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their vocation and a new blessing for our Church.
Bishop Tarabay congratulated the Deacons and said, “I invite you to pray with me for our two new deacons, that they stay close to the heart of Mary, Our Lady of Lebanon, and mother of all Maronites, model and inspiration for the disciples and for us all, asking her to lead all of us back to her Son Jesus always.”
Congratulations to Deacon Sayed and Deacon Ghassan.
We pray our Lord God grants you the grace to accept the successes and the challenges that come your way, so that you may grow as you strive to serve Him and His Church, attentive to the unfolding of His will for you and for the people you serve.
