On the Feast of St Maroun, His Excellency Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay launched the Golden Jubilee of our Eparchy and welcomed the relics of St Maroun, St Charbel, St Rafqa, St Nehmetallah and St Mary of the Cross MacKillop at St Maroun Cathedral, Redfern.

“The journey of holiness and openness begins right here, right now, with us. And that it does not end with us. It is for our children, their children, and our brethren all over the world, that all the world may hear the Gospel,” said Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay.

As Maronites in Australia let us always remember we have been given by God the responsibility and privilege of maintaining, developing, and passing on the wonderful rich heritage of our saints who once lived among us and continue to be our inspiration.

We have the honour of being entrusted with passing our faith and heritage on to the new generation of Maronites, here and everywhere.
