26/06/2023
The Discesan Safeguarding Committee held its biannual meeting on 26 June.
This session was held in addition to the regular safeguarding meetings at a parish level and was an opportunity for the Committee to discuss priorities amongst the various parishes. It is a forum for collaboration to ensure parishes and communities are safe places for children and vulnerable adults, in accordance with safeguarding standards.
The session was attended by Parish Safeguarding Officers who joined both in person and via zoom from all around the country.
The Maronite Eparchy holds a zero tolerance policy for abuse of any kind. Together, we continue to work together to ensure safeguarding remains our number one priority.
