Marriage Preparation Course
Your decision to marry is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. The Maronite Catholic Church in Australia requires you to participate in the Marriage Preparation Course.
The course is a compulsory part of your marriage preparation and needs be completed at least six months before your wedding date.

The pre-marriage education and relationship enrichment course for couples focuses on tools to help deepen the connection between couples in preparation for a sacramental marriage. Our team helps you reflect on your relationship, build communication skills and establish core values and goals for you as a married couple.

The preparation involves four sessions covering the following:

The Power of Communication
Session four
Building A Strong Marriage

Please note the following:

Classes are over four sessions of approximately two hours each (with a 15-minute break) – 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start till 9:30pm.

For those with special circumstances, please contact the Chancery Office for specific arrangements.

Classes are held at Our Lady of Lebanon Parish and Community Centre, Harris Park (NSW) on:

  • Tuesday & Wednesday evenings
  • Full Day Saturday 8:30am- 5:30pm (Limited availability)

Classes are at a fee of $300 per couple for the sessions.

    Refund policy

    Marriage Preparation Course fees are only refundable in the event of the cancellation of your wedding.

    Notification of the cancellation must take place seven days prior to the classes being undertaken. 

    Refund applications must be made in writing to marriage@maronite.org.au or by calling 02 8831 0000.

    Please note any approved refunds will be credited to the credit card used for the original transaction.
