Synod of Maronite Bishops gives approval to open new cases for beatification
19/06/2024
The Synod of Maronite Bishops this week announced the approval to open the cases for the beatification of Youssef Bey Karam and Martyr Kamal Youssef El Hage to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in Rome.
This is a significant step in recognising their lives of faith and virtue, in what is the Catholic Church’s long and rich tradition of honouring holy men and women through the process of beatification and canonisation.
The approval of these two causes for beatification is a beacon of hope in a world that deeply needs exemplary figures. As the Church considers the lives of these men, may we all be inspired to deepen our own commitment to holiness and to work for the unity and peace of the Church and society.
As the Church considers the causes for the beatification of Youssef Bey Karam and Martyr Kamal Youssef El Hage, may their lives of faith, courage, and charity be a source of inspiration for all the faithful.
